Description
PRODUCTION
Recognized for its meticulous methods, the estate of François Voyer is one of the few cognac houses that has distilled its own harvest since the 1870s, grown on its small vineyard properties within the leading Cru of Grande Champagne. The Voyers are known for using traditional and meticulous methods to produce their spirit. Their cognac is made entirely from Ugni Blanc grapes, and the wine is fermented with different yeasts depending on climatic conditions. After vinification, double distillation is carried out in traditional Charentais stills, with the lees included, producing a richer, more fragrant, and rounder final product. Finally, the heart of the spirit is selected in the traditional way, by the distillers' sense of smell! This VSOP Grande Champagne cognac is aged in small medium-toast Limousin oak barrels for a minimum of 6 to 14 years.
