Description
PRODUCTION
The François Voyer estate is located in the communes of Verrières and Ambleville in the Premier Cru of Grande Champagne, and they have been carrying out distillation themselves since the 1870s and currently continue producing with meticulous traditional techniques. This cognac is made entirely with Ugni Blanc grapes grown in their small vineyards in Grande Champagne. The wine is fermented with different yeasts depending on climatic conditions. Double distillation takes place in traditional Charentaise stills, with the lees included. Finally, the heart of the spirit is selected in the traditional method, by the distillers' sense of smell! The cognac Terres de Grande Champagne 1er Cru Classic, whose name means “the land of Grande Champagne”, has been aged in French Limousin oak barrels for 4 to 6 years.
TASTING
Appearance: Color between golden and coppery in the glass.
Nose: Its bouquet unfolds with floral touches of violet and lime, characteristic of the Grand Champagne Cru. The aromas blend with delicate woody notes and leave a pleasant and persistent almond fragrance.
Palate: The flavor of this cognac is characterized by its subtle wood notes, which are long-lasting and pleasant; it presents notes of yeasted bread, subtle flowers, light oak, dried apricots, toffee, light vanilla and white grapes.
