Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The 2009 vintage closes a prodigious, solar, intense and generous decade. The climate was very benign, something unprecedented, and the resulting harvests allowed us to explore new frontiers in grape ripeness in Champagne. This vintage offers a sample of the ripest and most flavorful fruit, grapes at their best that are a promise of energy and freshness in future wine. Dom Pérignon Vintage is made exclusively from the best grapes from a single year, reinventing itself by interpreting the unique character of the seasons and daring not to make a Vintage if the harvest does not meet high expectations. After a minimum of eight years of aging in the winery, the wine reaches the perfect balance that Dom Pérignon represents, its greatest promise. This is Dom Pérignon Vintage: the fullness of harmony. Dom Pérignon declared Champagne Dom Pérignon Vintage 2009 as the apogee of maturity.
TASTING
View: Pale yellow color with golden reflections.
Nose: Notes of guava and spicy green grapefruit peel mingle with stone fruits: white peach and nectarine. The wine breathes, and the whole is complemented by woody vanilla and a warm, lightly toasted brioche.
Mouth: The fruit reveals its majesty: ripe, fleshy and deep. Beyond the wealth and a certain voluptuousness, an impression of coherence prevails. The strength of the wine is characterized by surprising restraint. All sensations converge and persist, silky, saline and sap, bitter and iodized.
Recommended temperature: 8-10ºC.
