Los Confines de Prieto Pariente is a single-varietal Garnacha red wine made as Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León by Bodegas Prieto Pariente, in Valladolid, Spain. Bodegas Prieto Pariente is the personal project of two brothers, Ignacio and Martina Prieto Pariente, with which they seek to make wines that come from unique vineyards in Castilla y León and that are faithful representatives of the landscape but that at the same time express delicacy, elegance and freshness. Perfect to accompany with legumes, red meat and rice.

PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Garnacha Tinta
The grapes that give rise to Los Confines de Prieto Pariente come from two vineyards of old Garnacha vines, the first, located in La Sierra de Gredos, in the Cebreros area at 1005 meters of altitude, has slate soils, which provides minerality that transforms into meatiness in the wine; and the second, located in the San Bartolomé de Pinares area, at 1059 meters of altitude, with vineyards composed of granitic material, which provides finesse. To make Los Confines de Prieto Pariente, the clusters undergo spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, just like malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 17 months in used 600-liter oak barrels.
TASTING
View:
It shows a ruby red color.
Nose:
Aromas of ripe, red and black fruits. The mineral notes, dry herbs and scrubland stand out.
Mouth:
Surprising freshness and a dominating minerality, accompanied by good acidity. Very expressive and intense, with a powerful and aromatic finish.
Recommended temperature: 16ºC.
