PRODUCTION
The Vaudon XO Fins Bois cognac is made from Ugni Blanc grapes. The elegance of the Premier Cru combines deliciously with the fruitiest and sweetest eau-de-vie from Fins Bois. It is a delicate and sweet cognac, with a typical Fins Bois flavour. Aged in tight and loose-grained oak casks, Vaudon uses both new and old casks to age their cognacs before blending. The Vaudon family history dates back to 1771 and includes exceptional cognacs in its collection such as the 1811 Vintage, which won a gold medal at the 1913 fair. It uses an old-style distillation on lees, which gives all the cognacs they produce a rich and elegant character.
TASTING
Appearance: Golden colour.
Nose: Interesting and pleasant aromas, delicate with pleasant notes of violets, mango, nuts and candied orange peel. It has a delicate floral bouquet with a subtle, very seductive fruity background.
Palate: The attack is surprisingly soft and silky, the exotic notes are very present and leave a pleasant, long finish. This XO cognac is the purity of Fins Bois eau-de-vie aged in oak casks.
Winemaking
