Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc.
The Château Tour Saint-Joseph 2016 red wine is made through cold pre-fermentation for a week at 10°C and then a long fermentation for 30 days at 28-30°C and is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, a third renewed each year. Founded at the beginning of the 20th century, this property, which was then called Cru Latour Saint-Joseph, quickly proved its worth by gaining "Castle" status and great renown in the village of Cissac-Médoc. The utmost care, including aging in new oak barrels, is lavished on this prestigious wine that rubs shoulders with the equally famous vineyards of Saint-Estèphe and Pauillac.
TASTING
View: Beautiful ruby red color, bright and deep.
Nose: Delicious nose with aromas of berries, toast and mocha.
Mouth: Full-bodied and generous, with ripe, soft tannins and a notable aromatic palette, dominated by ripe berries covered with delicate notes of oak and dried fruits.
