Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc.
The Château Tour Chapoux Bordeaux 2019 red wine is made through traditional winemaking and aging in barrels. The property has an extraordinary history, starting in the 13th century, when the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem were founded by a commander. These soldier-monks were known as connoisseurs of fine wines. Therefore, we can assume that they chose to grow vines in these places after verifying that the terroir had special qualities. Nothing remains of the medieval buildings, but the current owner, Claude Comin, heir to a long line of winegrowers dating back to 1884, has lovingly restored the 18th-century house. He also doubled the size of the property since 1968 and created a modern winery. Many medals have been awarded over many years to this area, including that of Claude Comin and his wife, whose property has been in the same family for two centuries, passed down from generation to generation.
TASTING
View: Intense violet color.
Nose: A bouquet that combines notes of candied fruits, chalk and wild mint.
Mouth: Compact and full-bodied in the mouth. A generous wine where very ripe Merlot provides opulence and density.
