Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernets.
The Château Bonfort 2018 red wine is made by vinification in traditional thermoregulated stainless steel vats, with maceration for 2 to 3 weeks and aging in French oak horn barrels renewed half way every year. Château Bonfort is located in a grand but modest terroir. When Marcel Quancard bought it from a winegrower in 1978, he painstakingly rebuilt the vineyard, taking care to preserve the true spirit of the land and its wine. 12 km north of Saint-Emilion, Château Bonfort has become a small 4-hectare paradise for the hallmarks of the appellation, concentrating the flavors so typical of the Saint-Emilion area.
