Winemaking
Grapes: 100% Tinta del País (Tempranillo).
For the production of Carmelo Rodero 9 Months red wine Tempranillo grapes are used from our own vineyards between 5 and 20 years old, through classic production with destemmed and semi-crushed grapes. It undergoes fermentation and maceration under temperature control and malolactic fermentation takes place in a stainless steel tank at 20-22ºC. The aging is 9 months in French oak barrels and a minimum of 3 months in the bottle before marketing. Carmelo Rodero belongs to an old line of winegrowers from the riverside town of Pedrosa de Duero. In 1990 he began his own journey with his wife Elena, knowing that the basis of a great wine is always found in the excellence of the fruit of his vineyards. All this effort and search for quality has been rewarded with national and international awards for each wine made since then by Bodegas Rodero
