Caol Ila 25 Years is a single malt Scotch whiskey aged in American oak and European oak barrels, smooth as silk, without extreme wood notes that some whiskeys of its age develop due to their long relationship with oak. This is a gentle whiskey with a dense and oily palate, with a quarter of a century, which has calmed the impetuous character of smoky and iodized notes of Caol Ila. Ideal in its pure form, as an aperitif, digestive, with ice or with a cup of coffee. Presentation: Bottle with case.

Description
PREPARATION
The Caol Ila 25 Years Whiskey ages in American and European oak barrels for 25 years. Distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2011, it differs mainly from some whiskeys of its age by not having extreme wood notes. Caol Ila is pronounced [cull eela] and is the Gaelic name for the Sound of Islay, which separates the island from Jura. For some, the distillery's pronunciation is as remote as its location, lying on the rugged east coast, where it has remained hidden from view since 1846. Caol Ila is strategically located near a spring water and sources its malt from Port Ellen. The barley supplied is malted using peat, giving Caol Ila whiskeys the characteristic Islay flavor and aroma.
TASTING
View: Golden amber color.
Nose: Subtle nose, with intense notes of peat and vanilla, licorice and freshly cut grass.
Mouth: Rich and creamy texture with notes of peat, toffee and leather. Smooth flavor with hints of grape, apple and strawberry, which combine perfectly with notes of spices and lavender, long and elegant finish, subtle with notes of leather and vanilla.
