Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Tinta de Toro.
The Campo Eliseo Toro 2017 red wine comes from organic viticulture, the harvest was carried out manually with selection of the vine. In the winery, a double selection table was carried out for bunches and grain. Malolactic fermentation was carried out with indigenous bacteria in new 225 and 600 liter French oak barrels. And this wine remained in French oak barrels for 16 months. 2017 was an exceptionally early harvest. The climatic vicissitudes were the most outstanding distinctive feature of this vintage. The late frosts at the end of April were significantly felt in several D.O. Castilian. This year, it was the drought that set the pace in the vineyard with less than 250 mm of rainfall in Rueda and 300 mm in Toro, the direct consequence of which was a significant decrease in the number of kg. harvested and early ripening of the grapes.
