Description
PREPARATION
Calvados is a spirit obtained by distillation of apple cider and aged in barrels. Busnel is made with apples grown in 'Pays d'Auge', the famous cider region of Normandy, carefully selected from more than 40 different varieties. The juice extracted from them is left to ferment naturally into cider and is distilled twice in copper stills before being aged for at least four years in oak barrels. They are subsequently mixed to make this rich, smooth, complex spirit, with its excellent aromas of ripe apples.
The Busnel distillery, created in 1820 by Ernest Busnel, is the oldest of the great Calvados Houses. It has ancestral know-how, but it is constantly innovating with new products combining tradition and modernity.
