Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: Grenache.
To make Borsao Tres Picos red wine maceration is carried out for 20-25 days in total. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of between 25-30ºC and the wine is aged for 5 months in new French oak Bordeaux barrels. In the 19th century, private wineries were established around Veruela, in Aragon. In the 1950s, due to economic difficulties, small groups of farmers joined forces to found cooperatives, which currently form the majority of the D.O. Borja Field. The origin of Bodegas Borsao dates back to 1958, the year in which the winery was purchased from an individual and the Borja Cooperative was founded. Some years later, in 2001, the Pozuelo and Tabuenca cooperatives joined the Borja cooperative, contributing their human resources and their vineyards, giving rise to Bodegas Borsao
