Azpilicueta Reserve 2020 75cl.

Félix Azpilicueta is one of the most relevant figures in the history of Rioja wine. This pioneer winegrower arrived in Fuenmayor in 1881, in Rioja Alta, and fell in love with this place and its vineyards, and decided to found a winery here. Today, Bodegas Azpilicueta has 800 hectares of vineyards; Most of it is located in the area of Fuenmayor, a municipality with an irregular topography that allows working with plots exposed at different altitudes, orientations and slopes. In 2001 Azpilicueta inaugurated new facilities, a modern and sustainable building, designed by the Riojan architect Ignacio Quemada. Campo Viejo wines are also made there, owned by the same group: Pernod Ricard. In 2011, it was the first Spanish winery to certify its Carbon Footprint by AENOR in accordance with the ISO 14064 standard. Azpilicueta Reserva 2018 (D.O.Ca. Rioja) will find its ideal pairing in meat dishes such as beef blood sausage in red wine sauce or pork cheek with Pedro Ximénez.
