PREPARATION

anCnoc 24 Years is made using traditional production methods that have been maintained for more than 100 years at the Knockdhu distillery. For its production, water from its own springs and original style stills and copper worms are used to condense the vaporized alcohol. Ironically, it is these traditional techniques that help create the distinctive, modern flavor. This whiskey ages for 24 years in American and Spanish oak barrels, previously used to mature bourbon and sherry. The barrels rest quietly in storage warehouses with thick granite walls that create a stable temperature. Because it is bottled in its most natural form, neither chill-filtered nor colored, it may develop a slight haze with the addition of water or if kept at a cold temperature. This haze is a natural characteristic of whiskey that is not chill filtered.

TASTING

Dark amber color.

Nose:
Densely sweet and spicy with a cozy Christmas cake hug. Rich but crisp with notes of vanilla, toffee and lemon juice.

Mouth:
The spiciness continues with hints of candied orange slices, warm honey and spent leather filling the mouth with a symphony of maturity.
