Alonso del Yerro is the personal project of Javier Alonso and María del Yerro. In 2002 they combined their surnames to form Viñedos Alonso del Yerro. Alonso del Yerro 2019 is presented as an elegant and deep wine, with silky tannins, long persistence and ripe fruit nuances without being jammy. An emblematic red that continues to be positioned as one of the wines with the best quality-price ratio in the area. Pairs perfectly with crispy camembert and tomato jam, Iberian secret with Idiazabal cheese sauce, mushroom risotto and parmesan.

Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Tempranillo
The Alonso del Yerro 2019 wine is the most emblematic of the winery. Made from a selection of Tempranillo grapes in the privileged vineyards of the Santa Marta estate. It is a wine that combines the character and complexity of Tempranillo, with the freshness and concentration typical of the vintage. Harvested in October and vinified slowly and gently to extract the most subtle tannins from each grape. Macerations between 21 and 26 days. Aged for about 12 months in French oak barrels, of which 10% are new.
TASTING
View: Deep cherry red color.
Nose: Friendly, round and aromatic. The fruit is ripe without hints of jam.
Mouth: The tannins are elegant except for some blockages in very loose soils whose preparation has been taken into account in the winery.
Recommended temperature: 16ºC.
