Description
PREPARATION
Absolut Elyx is made with water from a deep well located in the city of Åhus that, due to its depth, is protected from impurities and winter wheat grown on a single farm in southern Sweden. The Råbelöf estate has been growing wheat since the 15th century. The region has the ideal climate to produce winter wheat, as this season is dry and cold while its summers are long and warm. It is distilled manually with a refined copper still known as Column 51, whose use dates back to 1921. Its silky texture is the result of the roots of a single wheat, with manual production and the copper catalyzing process. Copper naturally catalyzes the component traces in the alcohol, purifying the vodka and adding flavor and a much appreciated silky texture. Only a select few, who have inherited their knowledge and experience from past generations, make this luxury vodka, preserving the spirit of the ancient makers.
TASTING
View: Clear and limpid.
Nose: Clean, intense, round, freshly baked bread and notes of white chocolate and cereal with an intense delicate spicy touch.
Mouth: Full-bodied, exquisitely soft in the mouth with touches of rich macadamia nuts, creamy cereal, white chocolate toppings and unctuous notes of freshly baked bread. Light nutty nuances with a balanced touch of soft spice and pure intensity in just the right measure. The finish is spicy, smooth and round, with nuances of fresh nuts and a soft and warm finish in the mouth.
