Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo.
The grapes used in the production of Imperial Gran Reserva 2014 red wine come from vineyards located in Rioja Alta intended for the production of this wine. After rigorous maceration controls, the manual harvest began. Upon arrival at the Winery the grapes remained for 24 hours. in a cold room, for improved fruit extraction and color stability. After selection on a belt, the grapes passed by gravity into French oak vats, where they underwent alcoholic fermentation with their own yeasts at 28-29ºC. Subsequently, it was aged for a minimum of 24 months in new French and American oak barrels, with racking every 8 months. Completing the process with bottle aging for at least 3 years in the century-old cellars of the Winery in the best humidity and temperature conditions.
