PREPARATION

Tamnavulin Double Cask is made from the finest ingredients combined with extensive knowledge of the traditional distilling process as well as sophisticated techniques, using water from underground streams in the Easterton Hills that form after the nearby Cairngorm Mountains melt. The water is naturally filtered through the old limestone rock into the distillery, resulting in some of the purest spring water in Scotland. The oak barrels are hand-selected, including North American Bourbon and Spanish Sherry casks, to ensure they perfectly influence and enhance the characteristics of the rich, smooth, honeyed and refreshing Tamnavulin whiskey. Its collection of barrels dates back to the 1960s, when the distillery opened its doors. Once filled with the new liquor, the barrels rest in the cellars, cool and dark for several years. Over time, the barrels add color and flavor to the whiskey until it reaches an exquisite aromatic profile.

TASTING

Nose: Rich, warm aromas of apple, caramel and honey with sweet marzipan and subtle spicy notes of jam.

Mouth: Fresh, honeyed with the flavor of creamy peaches, hints of pear and pineapple and a touch of Demerara sugar. Rich, smooth and refreshing finish. An exclusive malt from Speyside.
