The name of Roku gin means six in Japanese and refers to the six Japanese botanicals that have been integrated into the traditional ingredients (juniper berries, coriander, angelica root and seeds, cardamom, cinnamon, orange and lemon peel) for the production of the distillate: sakura flower, sakura leaf, yuzu peel, sencha tea (green tea), gyokuro tea (refined green tea) and sansho pepper, all of which are distilled separately according to each one's characteristics to extract the best flavor and preserve their essence. Thus, the delicate aroma of cherry blossoms is obtained through vacuum distillation in stainless steel stills, while the deep taste of yuzu is achieved through distillation in copper stills, leaving the firmness of juniper berry to match the delicate Japanese botanicals.

Roku is crafted at the Suntory Licor Atelier in Osaka, which has 4 different copper pot stills.

Appearance: Clear.

Nose: Sweet, floral aroma of Japanese cherry blossom and green tea.

Palate: Complex, with multiple layers, yet with a harmonious taste of various botanicals. Traditional gin flavor at the base, along with characteristic notes of Japanese botanicals, with yuzu being the most notable. Soft and silky texture. Japanese sansho pepper provides a spicy finish.
