Description
PREPARATION
The production of Pampero Añejo Especial rum begins with a strict selection of local sugar cane that is processed within 24 hours to maintain its freshness. The rum is then distilled three times and aged before blending for at least 2 years in brandy oak barrels, giving it package and complexity. Industrias Pampero is a rum distillery established in 1938 in Venezuela by Alejandro Hernández, son of a fisherman from Margarita Island. Pampero is composed of 100% Venezuelan dark rum, a blend of various rums in white oak barrels for a minimum of years. Pampero is known for having set the standards for rum production in Venezuela, and was the first rum to earn the designation 'Añejo' by the Venezuelan government.
TASTING
View: Amber color with golden reflections.
Nose: Rich mix of aromas of banana, pineapple and ripe white fruit, with delicate sweet touches of caramel and honey.
Mouth: Its fascinating flavor evokes the complexity of the Caribbean coasts of Venezuela. Creamy on the palate with well-balanced flavors of wood, honey, caramel and spices. The persistent finish reminds us of its time in oak barrels.
