Description
PREPARATION
Inspired beyond the Panamanian borders, Abuelo XV Napoleon Rum is born, which takes us to Napoleon's France. It is made from a selection of the most precious Varela Hermanos reserves, carefully aged in American white oak barrels, and in its final finish they spend up to 15 years in French Cognac casks in order to obtain a rum with a deep explosion of ripe autumn fruit, elegant woody touches and aroma of dark chocolate. The history of Varela Hermanos S.A. It dates back to 1908 when Don José Varela Blanco, a young Spanish emigrant, founded the San Isidro Sugar Mill in Pesé, the first sugar mill in the newly formed Republic of Panama. The town of Pesé, established in the mid-18th century, is located in a fertile valley in the center of Panama, where the main activity of its population of nearly 10,000 inhabitants is the cultivation of sugar cane.
