Super Nikka is a Japanese blended whiskey in a classic style, with smooth haze and hints of vanilla and sherry, born in 1962 by the owner of the distillery, Mr. Taketsuru, shortly after the death of his wife Rita to represent his deep love for her. Despite being classified as a Blend, it contains a high proportion of malt whiskey from Nikka's distilleries: Yoichi and Miyagikyo. Awards and recognitions:

PREPARATION
Nikka Super Rare Old is a whiskey from Japan created in 1962 by Masataka Taketsuru. For decades since the company was established, his company has developed and refined whiskey in Japan, maintaining its passion for quality. Made with grains imported from Scotland, the place where this Japanese Blend is produced has a lower temperature in winter and higher in summer than in Scotland. This allows the aging process in Yoichi's wineries to slow down in winter and accelerate in summer. Opulent and gently peated with the essence of the Sherry casks, this whiskey descends smoothly with a wonderfully balanced flavor crafted to stand out and linger.
TASTING
View: Polished gold color with orange reflections.
Nose: Wonderfully rich, elegant and round. It also evokes sage, plum and leather. Slightly woody and spicy (cumin), evolving into floral aromas (lilac and lavender).
Mouth: Lively and vibrant flavor with intense malty tones. Of great quality and balance, its core is soft (lavender honey, almond milk), with notes of ash, vegetables (malted barley), seasoned with a pinch of salt, marshmallow and violet. The finish is sweet and tender, with a light smoky touch accompanied by freshly cut grass.
