Macán 2018 is a modern and very personal look at the high expression and maximum quality wines of the D.O. Rioja. It is a commitment to finesse, elegance, complexity and power, and constitutes the banner of Bodegas Benjamin de Rothschild & Vega Sicilia, the project started by Tempos Vega Sicilia and the Edmond de Rothschild Wine Company in 2004. 2009 was the first vintage launched on the market and this Macán 2018 highlights the mastery of the house for its breed, freshness and depth.

Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Tempranillo
In the preparation of this vintage, special care was taken from the configuration of the tanks to the extraction during fermentation and finally in the work with the presses, where they were kept separate until June, refining them before mixing them. Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels and 4,000 liter foudre. The latter played a very important role in polishing the texture of the tannin and the barrel helped to work on the 'sucrosity' or oiliness, using 50% new barrels.
TASTING
View:
It has a dark cherry color with a maroon edge.
Nose:
Exuberant with aromas of ripe and candied fruit, tobacco, sweet spices and woodwork.
Mouth:
Firm and powerful in its attack, it has a palate where the tannic presence is present without being dominant. Long finish. Recommended temperature: between 16 ºC and 18 ºC.
