Description
PREPARATION
Created in 1840, Green Chartreuse is the first liqueur made with the original recipe of the Elixir Végétal de la Grande Chartreuse. It is the only green liquor in the world, natural even in its color. It derives its unique character from its natural color, power and aromatic complexity of 130 plants, flowers, bark, roots and spices. Its development requires several weeks of work and is carried out in several stages: Grinding is carried out by the monks in the machine room of the Grande Chartreuse monastery. Distillation is carried out to obtain the aroma. Through different types of macerations, the active ingredients of the plants that give the liquor its natural color are extracted. It then ages for a long time in oak barrels before being bottled, and continues to evolve and develop its complexity in the bottle.
