PREPARATION

The Ypióca Plata cachaça is made from the distillation of fermented sugar cane juice.
The beginnings of the Ypioca brand began in 1843 when Darío Telles decided to focus his attention on the distillation of sugar cane instead of cultivating it. It was in 1846 when the first cachaça was distilled and when Ypioca, an indigenous name that means red earth, was founded. Its first distillations were done in ceramic stills, then iron ones were added and finally local balsam wood barrels, the idea of which came from one of the heirs of the company, the grandson of the first owner.
