Description
PREPARATION
Velho Barreiro is one of the most appreciated cachaças in Brazil for its delicate aroma, the result of its double distillation of sugar cane. Unlike other cachaças, in addition to its double distillation, it stands out for being the only one to remain for a short period of time in native Jequitibá Rosa wood barrels. Since its creation in 1873 it is the soul of the authentic Caipirinha. It is made by IRB, Industrias Reunidas de Bebidas Tatuzinho 3 Fazendas, founded in 1950 in the Brazilian city of Piracicaba, in Sao Paulo. It is one of the most important distilleries in the country.
