PREPARATION

The Glenlivet 12 Years First Fill is a classic and globally popular expression of The Glenlivet style. It is made with barley from Crisp Maltings, Portgordon, a town in Moray, Scotland. Once the barley is malted and crushed, it is fermented in wooden vats for approximately two days. It is then slowly distilled in conical stork-neck stills, to give way to the influence of the wood that is found again in its aromatic profile thanks to its first filling in American oak barrels, followed by 12 years of aging, which creates the vanilla notes and gives it its distinctive softness, characteristic of quality Single Malts.
The Glenlivet distillery was founded in 1824 near the River Livet from which it gets its name. This whiskey from the Speyside region is one of the most popular in Scotland. The Glenlivet brand is the largest-selling single malt whiskey brand in the United States and the second largest single malt beer brand worldwide. Today, the distillery is owned by the French company Pernod Ricard who oversees production.

Clean and smooth with spring flowers, summer fruits and nutty qualities.

Mouth:
Fruity and balanced on the palate, creamy and medium-bodied with distinctive notes of vanilla, honey, peat and spicy flavor. Long and warm finish, with hints of citrus and vanilla. Complex, entertaining and sophisticated.
