PREPARATION

The Glenfarclas The Family Casks 1988 2018 whiskey is bottled only when the barrel has reached the correct maturation, at full capacity and in a single cask. A limited edition made according to the Glenfarclas tradition.
Glenfarclas, the "Valley of the Green Meadow" in Gaelic, lies at the foot of Ben Rinnes. High on its heather-covered slopes, fed by the winter's melting snow, crystal-clear spring water gushes from the granite below. Together with that water and the best malt, Glenfarclas produces its whiskeys, through double distillation in traditional direct-cooking stills, which age in the best Spanish oak barrels previously used for the maturation of the fine Oloroso Sherry.

TASTING

Nose:
Full and complex aromas with fruity and malty notes of Sherry.

Mouth:
Flavored with sherry, cognac, brandy, fruit, nuts, marzipan and even icing, it tastes like a wonderfully indulgent Christmas cake in a glass. The finish is exquisite with a real burnt chocolate flavor at the back of the mouth.
