Description
PRODUCTION
Unlike most gins, where the alcohol comes from grain fermentation, G'Vine gins use grape alcohol as their base. This alcohol is produced from Ugni Blanc grapes, which are neutral in flavor but have high acidity, and is distilled along with the distilled products of the botanicals. The base alcohol is distilled in column stills to obtain a fine alcohol with neutral aromas. This alcohol is smoother and sweeter than traditional grain alcohol, making it ideal as the base for a complex and expressive gin. G'Vine Nouaison gin is made with nine botanicals: classic juniper berries, ginger root, licorice, cassia bark, green cardamom, coriander, cubeb berries, nutmeg, and lime. These are macerated in groups for two to five days before being distilled in small stills to capture their essence. These essences are blended with grape-based alcohol in the perfect proportions, and then the final distillation is carried out in a traditional copper still. A total of four distillations are performed.
