Enate Uno Chardonnay 2013 75cl.

Enate Uno Chardonnay 2013 75cl.

Enate Uno Chardonnay 2013 is an original white wine, designed at the foot of the vineyard according to an exclusive à la carte vinification. A white wine with a long history and enormous potential, fresh, fleshy and with a marked imprint of terroir. Its unique personality and exuberance requires certain gastronomic pairings, making it ideal to accompany it with strong cheeses, fish, powerful dishes and stews such as hake with fresh boletus sauce or a lobster stew. The presentation of the bottle takes care of every detail: an original painting by Erwin Bechtold, who states: "Freedom, this is the meaning of all work. One's own path with one's own ideas," constitutes the label, on which the most essential data are also engraved in Braille alphabet. Awards and recognitions:

Description

PREPARATION

Grapes: 100% Chardonnay.

The Planacor vineyard, where the grapes used to make the Enate Uno Chardonnay 2013 white wine come from, is one of the oldest Chardonnay vineyards in Somontano, with sandy loam soil in an inland Mediterranean microclimate. After a cold deburbation of the flower must for 60 hours, alcoholic fermentation takes place in new fine-grained, medium-toasted French oak barrels. Next, and after adapting the lactic bacteria to the alcohol and pH, the must undergoes malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels. The aging of the wine takes place on the lees and remains in the barrel for 15 months; After aging in barrels, the wine rests in a small tank until the day of bottling for 13 months. Specifically, from August 29, 2011 to December 5, 2012. After aging in barrels, the wine continues to rest in a small tank until the day of bottling, which, in its last vintage, 2012, was on January 24, 2013. This wine has not been clarified or stabilized, so sediments may appear in the bottle.
