Demerara Distillers in Guyana, the world's largest rum producer, is responsible for the specially created Uitvlugt Special Cask Finish series, which includes a total of 6 different El Dorado rums. This rum was also gently distilled in the original French 4-column “Savalle” metal still in 2006. This unique old still is a relic of the 18th century Uitvlugt sugar estate. That is why Uitvlugt was chosen as the namesake of this brilliant edition of rum, which was bottled in 2021 with a full barrel concentration of 58.1%.

Description
PREPARATION
The rum matured for 7 years in old American oak bourbon barrels before being refined in the so-called "double aging process". It remained for another 8 years in French oak barrels in which sweet white wines from Sauternes were previously kept. Barrels that come from a single winery in the Bordeaux region and give this great rum its impressive aromatic flavor profile.TASTING
