Description
PREPARATION
What is special is the distillation in the original French metal 4-column Savalle still, an 18th century relic from the Uitvlugt Sugar Estate, located on the west coast of the Demerara region of Guyana. This rum matured for 7 years in ex-Bourbon American oak barrels, and then for a further 8 years to finish in French oak barrels that previously contained Madeira Sweet Wines, which come from a single winery on the island of Madeira. Although the rum is called “Special Cask Finish,” it is actually “double aged,” giving the connoisseur a true flavor experience.TASTING
