Cù Bòcan 15 Years has been created for memory and nostalgia, it takes us back to where it all began, when the brand began to produce a slightly smoky whiskey at the Tomatin Distillery in the middle of winter. This expression stands out for maturing a minimum of 15 years in Oloroso-sherry barrels. This single malt is characterized by its flavor of ripe fruit and smoky exotic spices. Description
PREPARATION
For one week a year, the Tomatin distillery makes a peated, lightly smoky whiskey. This 2022 edition has been repeated at 15ppm and 15 years aged in former Oloroso Cask sherry. Slightly peated, it is completely aged in ex-sherry casks. Cu' Bòcan Signature light smoke is not cold filtered and is bottled at 50% alcohol.
TASTING
View:
Warm golden tone.
Nose:
Initial impact with chocolate and cherries, the smoke emerges shortly after, but weak.
Mouth:
Initially light as a feather followed by honeyed smoke and toasted almonds complemented by notes of chocolate and caramel. Rich in spices, cloves, cinnamon and star anise. Caffellatte with chocolate flakes. Light finish with a touch of sweet smoke.
