Description

PREPARATION

Grapes: 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc.

To make Château Petit Val Saint-Émilion Grand Cru wine, it is first harvested manually in trays. The grapes go through a selection process in the vineyard and also in the winery. The harvest is protected in a refrigerated cell. The winemaking technique they use consists of the fruit being processed plot by plot and left to soak in the cold before fermentation. The wine is made in stainless steel vats and the corks are die-cut. The skins are left to rest for 8 to 10 days after fermentation. A malolactic transformation is carried out 50% in new barrels and 50% in stainless steel tanks. It is aged for 12 to 18 months in French oak barrels, 50% in new barrels and 50% in old barrels from a vintage. Annual production of 55,000 bottles.

TASTING

View:

Dark with ruby tones.

Nose:

Expressive, ripe and delicate with fruit tones of red and black berries and a toasted touch.

Mouth:

Pleasant and broad entry, with silky tannins. The oak influence is introduced gradually and creates a good persistence.
