Château Haut-Logat 2016 is a red wine with D.O. Haut-Médocdistinguished and elegant, which will reach its full potential around 2024/2026. Haut Logat definitely has its place in the tradition of the greats of the Médoc. The vineyard of this Château dominates the municipality of Cissac-Médoc, between Saint-Estèphe and Pauillac and its wine is the reflection of this exceptional situation, revealing true character vintage after vintage and is perfect to accompany red meats or cheese. PREPARATION
Grapes: 45% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc.
The Château Haut-Logat 2016 red wine is made with cold pre-fermentation for a week at 10°C and then a long fermentation for 30 days at 28-30°C. And it is aged for 15 months in oak barrels, renewed a third each year. As in all Vignobles M&C Quancard properties, the best traditional and modern winemaking techniques are combined, as well as aging in oak barrels lasting 15 months, thus developing all the traditional character traits of a great Médoc.
TASTING
Nose: Soft and complex nose with aromas of candied fruit and undergrowth.
Mouth: Well structured backed by the magnificent tannins that characterize the notable 2016 vintage.
