Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 90% Tinta del País (Tempranillo) and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The grapes used to make Carmelo Rodero Crianza red wine come from our own vineyards that are more than 15 years old and are made in a traditional way with the most modern temperature control techniques in fermentation and maceration. The aging takes place in French oak barrels for a minimum of 15 months, racking every 3 months. It spends a minimum of 12 months in the bottle before being marketed. Carmelo Rodero belongs to an old line of winegrowers from the riverside town of Pedrosa de Duero. In 1990 he began his own journey with his wife Elena, knowing that the basis of a great wine is always found in the excellence of the fruit of his vineyards. All this effort and search for quality has been rewarded with national and international awards for each wine made since then by Bodegas Rodero.
TASTING
View: Ruby color with a high layer, it maintains excellent cherry notes surrounded by pinkish nuances, in a perfectly clean and bright medium.
Nose: Its still varietal aromas are the first to present themselves, well accompanied by a soft roasted wine well combined with its final touch of licorice, finer if possible.
Mouth: Structured and fleshy with an excellent bouquet that remains retronasal after filling our mouth with intense flavor; perfectly balanced wine, long and generous in taste sensations.
Recommended temperature: 14-16ºC.
