Description
PREPARATION
Cacique 500 is the result of the delicate combination of five rums aged for a period that varies between 2 and 8 years. This variety has an aging process in a microclimate that enhances the flavors that develop between rum and oak. Cacique is the most popular Venezuelan rum and was born from the work of Tomás Sarmiento, its founder, who already in the 1930s took advantage of the opportunities at his disposal and began distilling rums. After many years perfecting his technique, in 1961 he launched Cacique, quickly becoming one of the first golden rums, borrowing the best of the tradition and production of Scotch whiskey. Achieving that high quality of rum was his main concern and, precisely, he transmitted that obsession with quality to the Maestro Ronero at La Miel, the Cacique distillery on the edge of the jungle of Terepaima National Park.
TASTING
View: Dark amber color and golden glitter.
Nose: Soft and sweet fragrance, with notes of white chocolate, nuts, butter and oak.
Mouth: Tasty, velvety and elegant on the palate, balanced in turn with the woody character that its maturation gives it.
