Bowmore 23 Years Port Cask Matured matures exclusively in Port wine barrels for 23 years. Having been matured in this type of barrels, where these characteristic wines have previously been macerated, gives it fruity tones that make it distinctive. Being single malt, having been bottled without cold filtration and the smoky touch so characteristic of the area's whiskeys complete the set of characteristics that make it excellent. Founded over two centuries ago in 1779, Bowmore is the first registered distillery on Islay and one of the oldest in Scotland. Islay malts are famous for their smoky peat and Bowmore is no exception. They carefully smoke their malts in a peat kiln, just as their ancestors did over 200 years ago. It is the unique combination of the purest River Laggan water, speckled and smoked barley, the finest oak casks, Islay's natural environment and a team of artisans who together create the perfect balance for all of Bowmore's single malt Scotch whiskey ranges.

TASTING

View: Deep mahogany color with intense ruby reflections.

Nose: Aroma of plums, black cherries and dark chocolate combined with smoky touches of sea salt, sandalwood and walnuts.

Mouth: Velvety flavor with delicious notes of autumn fruits, winter spices, blood orange and black truffles. Long, smoky finish with hints of orange, truffle and walnut oil.
