Benriach Quarter Cask 1L. Case
Founded in 1897 by John Duff, the distillery was sold to the Longmorn Distillery Company as a result of monetary difficulties. Benriach lay dormant until 1969 and survived by feeding the Longmorn company malted barley. Acquired in 2004 by South African company Infra Trading and Burn Stewart director Billy Walker. Benriach now offers incredible single malts from the oldest expressions patiently preserved in their cellars for decades. Awards:

Description
PREPARATION
To make Benriach Quarter Cask, Benriach liquor is first matured in bourbon barrels and then undergoes a second maturation in custom-made quarter casks. These smaller barrels allow for greater interaction between wood and alcohol, intensifying maturation to achieve depth and richness of flavor, to create layers of glazed orchard fruit and rich vanilla, finishing with notes of ripe barley and oak spice. Everything in perfect balance.

Burnished gold in color
Nose:
Aromas of candied fruit, rich vanilla and fresh oak.
Mouth:
Flavor of sugary pear and honeyed apricot with final notes of fresh barley cream and oak spices.
