PREPARATION

Bankes is a high-quality gin, a unique and innovative blend that uses distillates meticulously made according to recipes that are more than 300 years old. To obtain the best from the selected botanicals (juniper, coriander seeds, orange and lemon peels, orris root, Madagascar cinnamon, coriander, angelica root, nutmeg and licorice root), the distillation process begins with an individual marinating process that involves many hours of mixing the botanicals with neutral alcohol before the distillation begins, as the marinade helps to extract the special flavors and characteristics of the ingredients. It is distilled in two centuries-old copper stills, using a different formula for each of them and following a more or less traditional method. The first of them is called Jenny and is 300 years old, the other, Angela, is 100 years old. Everything is mixed and enriched with essential notes of exotic roots and spices.
