PREPARATION
Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt is made from a blend of malt whiskeys from various distilleries.
This is an expression launched in 2020, with a refined formula, while still a smooth and well-balanced blended malt, the formula also displays an exquisite balance between elegant smoothness and deep complexity along with a rich and smoky mouthfeel.
This is a signature label in honor of Nikka founder Masataka Taketsuru, the first Japanese to master whiskey making in Scotland and take his expertise to Japan. While he was a disciplined craftsman, he was also a person of curiosity and open-mindedness. This is a tribute to Masataka from his successors, highlighting a perfect balance with the complexity achieved by the precise blend inherited from the founder.
TASTING
View:
Bright gold color.
Nose:
Balanced with floral aromas and notes of plum jam, herbal touches, rhubarb pie, vanilla ice cream and cold coffee.
Mouth:
Sweet and unctuous mid palate, with flavors of apple cider, cinnamon, butterscotch, almonds and custard. Long and smooth, creamy finish, with a fruity and spicy touch.
