Alión is an excellent red wine, complex and intense, an essential among the great Spanish reds in which elegance plays as a differentiating element and hallmark. Its elegance and smoothness in the mouth stands out. Perfect to accompany Iberian sausages, stews and red meats, haired and feathered game meats. Alión is made up of a careful selection of terroirs spread across the best areas of theD.O. Ribera del Duero. These soils that complement each other, together with the same viticulture that is done in Vega Sicilia, have given rise to wines with a firm structure. Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Tinto Fino.
When Vega Sicilia became part of the life of the Álvarez family in 1982, the foundations were laid for the creation of Tempos Vega Sicilia. Although the first harvests of Alión red wine were made in the Vega Sicilia facilities, a new philosophy was applied to a wine that could not remain the "little brother" of the great mythical wine, but had to be able to fly on its own and demonstrate the virtues of terroir, climate and variety typical of the Ribera del Duero. The name of Bodegas Alión refers to the Leones council in which the patriarch of the Álvarez family was born. This new winery began its winemaking journey in the 1993 harvest, until now.
TASTING
View: Very intense cherry color with purple tones.
Nose: It shows a great concentration of aromas of ripe red fruits with floral nuances.
Mouth: Rich and well structured, it evokes flavors of blackberry, plum and tones of leather and vanilla, with sweet tannin.
Recommended temperature: 18ºC.
