Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Tinta Barroca.
To make Osborne Tawny Port Wine the grapes are completely destemmed and fermentation takes place with prolonged lifting in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. It is then aged in oak barrels for 4 years. Coming from the Douro region, Osborne Port is made following strict aging standards based on traditional methods and using American oak barrels. Port is the generic name for a great diversity of wines, which have different sweetness, brightness and colors. The vineyards from which Osborne Port is born grow on terraces, in the rocky soil of the slopes of the Douro area. The varietals of the area emerge sheltered from the continental climate, which gives high rainfall in spring and autumn.
