PREPARATION

The Macallan Rare Cask whiskey is created from oak casks that display an intense sweet raisin note along with incredibly rich and smooth complexity. These hand-selected barrels are a rare and special find. Each cask of single malt whiskey that matures at The Macallan Estate has its own personality, with small nuances that make them unique. Sometimes, manufacturers come across barrels that mature in cellars and that stand out from the others in a very particular way. These peculiar barrels have a 100% natural ruby ​​mahogany color, an intense sweet raisin note and a rich velvety sensation on the palate.

Nose:

Soft notes of vanilla with rich raisins, followed by a sweet fusion of fresh apple, lemon and orange.  

Mouth:

Intense sweet raisins dominate before giving way to vanilla and dark chocolate, with layers of light citrus zest. Long, rich and velvety finish.
