Description

PREPARATION

The aging of The Glenrothes Bourbon Cask Reserve whiskey matures exclusively in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. The Glenrothes is one of the few distilleries in Scotland to have its own water source for alcohol production, processing and reduction, right on the estate, a natural river dividing it in two. The liquor is carefully nurtured in the distillery's tall copper stills for much longer than is strictly necessary. Slow distillation provides a lighter, fruitier spirit, removing more impurities and allowing the production of a more delicate tasting spirit. The color of this whiskey is derived only from its aging, never added as an afterthought. All The Glenrothes whiskey emerges from its barrels with an authentic color.
