PREPARATION

The Glenlivet 12 Years Double Oak whiskey is aged for 12 years in high-quality traditional and American oak barrels. The American oak gives it touches of vanilla that give it its particular flavor. The Glenlivet distillery was founded in 1824 near the River Livet from which it gets its name. This whiskey from the Speyside region is one of the most popular in Scotland. The Glenlivet brand is the largest-selling single malt whiskey brand in the United States and the second largest single malt beer brand worldwide. Today, the distillery is owned by the French company Pernod Ricard who oversees production.

TASTING

Nose:

It contains herbal and floral aromas, with soft citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit, joined by nutty notes of almond and hazelnut.  

Mouth:

There is a smooth feel, with notes of orange and lemon, then a bit of vanilla and toffee adding richness, with a delicate balance between sweetness and malty dryness. Long, gently warm finish, inviting you to take another sip.
