Description
PREPARATION
Rudo Añejo is made by hand using ancient techniques with a long tradition in the nutrient-rich volcanic soil of the Los Altos mountains in Jalisco. Carefully crafted at the family distillery, Rudo offers a perfect combination of spectacular presentation and superior flavor. Paying tribute to the character of Rudo, the tequila features bold and unexpected flavors, a true tribute to the spirit of the blue agave. Ripe agaves are first slowly baked in stone ovens for up to 3 days and then the juice from the first pressing is allowed to reduce and ferment naturally for 72 to 96 hours and is double distilled. Rudo Añejo is aged for 18 months in American white oak barrels, previously used in bourbon production, for a spectacular finish. The result is - "smooth as silk" (Robert Plotkin, American Cocktails).
TASTING
View: It shines with a dazzling golden color.
Nose: Balanced aromas of oak with notes of caramel.
Mouth: It has a light and warm texture. Its flavor is accentuated by the astringent notes of the wood. Ultra smooth, rich, butter syrup and caramel notes.
