Talisker 18 Years 70cl. - Case
Talisker, the oldest and only operating distillery on the Isle of Skye, is still spoken in Scottish Gaelic and is situated on the shores of Loch Harport with spectacular views of the Cuillins. The distillery is far from large and its capacity is quite modest; less than two million liters a year. However, Talisker has achieved an excellent reputation and sales are currently at around 100,000 cases per year.

Description
PREPARATION
Talisker whiskey has been aged in ex-Bourbon and Sherry barrels. Pleasant island character with aromas of the rocks and the coast, in harmony with rich fruity flavors. A rich, complex and well-rounded Skye. The malted barley used in Talisker has been purchased from Glen Ord since 1972. The malt has a peat level of 22 ppm, the soil is reddish and the Hebridean climate harshly punishes the coasts of the Isle of Skye.TASTING
View: Golden amber color.
Nose:
Rich and fruity, with green plums, dried orange peel, rum caramel and a wisp of smoke behind it. Notes of sea, iodine and algae.Mouth:
Nice and soft body. Sweet at first and then firmer, with a whiff of smoke, with tar and toffee caramel. Long finish with notes of spicy oak wood.
