PREPARATION
Don Papa Masskara is the fruit of a careful blend of still-distilled American oak-aged rum infused with calamansi, a native fruit, to deliver distinctive citrus notes, honey to sweeten the senses, and spicy wild labuyo for a tangy, spicy touch. Don Papa Rum is a Premium Aged Rum from a single island in the Philippines, created on the slopes of the active volcano Mount Kanlaon, where the finest sugar cane is milled to produce rich, sweet molasses. After harvesting, fermentation and distillation, the Master Blender perfectly blends Don Papa Rum before coming together in an alchemy of magic in the bottle.
TASTING
View: Bright amber color, with golden reflections.
Nose: Vibrant and fruity, with swathes of sweet vanilla, toasted sugar and fresh lime peel, along with ripe, fragrant clementines and exotic flower nectar.
Mouth: Rich, creamy and sweet, with notes of dark wild honey and milk chocolate, infused with orange oil. With a surprising burst of heat from the labuyo chili, which coats the mouth along with a warm and dry freshness. A distinctive aromatic flavor lingers in the mouth, along with bittersweet notes of dark chocolate and cinnamon.
